Student political issues conventions focus on the students’ primary concerns and developing a consensus agenda that is presented to elected officials. These conventions are held annually and bring together students from various educational institutions. The Michigan Student Political Issues Conventions are often part of a larger discourse on national issues and even global issues. We encourage our colleagues and their community of students and others to engage with us in the development of a Student Political Issues Agendas. The students develop a consensus political agenda at these conventions. This is usually a short-list of concerns that those in positions of political power and those running for office will be encouraged to find solutions. The 2012 Michigan Student Political Issues Convention will be on Friday October 12, 2012 from 9:30 am – 2:30 pm. Draft 2012 Program - Final Program will be available at the convention:
